Our new staff writer, Marica Razvan Mihai, had the chance to play the pilot episode of The Exchange Student series and he tells us his thoughts on the game. In The Exchange Student, you take control of Emilio Carboni, a a 22 y.o. Italian student who has never had a girlfriend in his entire life. He embarks on a trip to Sweden on an exchange studying program in a quest for love and passion! Fate however is not that kind with him.

The editor of Adventure Europe France, Aurelien Vandoorine, attended an event by Nintendo where the new popular gaming platform Wii (previously known as Revolution) was showcased. The most interesting feature of the new platform is its unique controller, which is nothing like what has been used before in other gaming platforms. In wii you control everything on your screen with the Wiimote, a controller that looks like a remote control.

Runaway 2 will be released this September. Vandoorine Aurelien, the editor of Adventure Europe France, had the chance to talk with Rafael Latiegui during a PR event in France, organized by Focus Home Interactive. Vandoorine used this chance to conduct an interview with Rafael. In the interview the main point of discussion was...what else...Runaway 2 of course.

Himalaya Studios is a company of developers who are devoted to creating high quality classic adventure games. Britney Brimhall, CEO of Himalaya Studios answered some of our questions regarding their soon to be released Al Emmo and the future of their company. Some of the topics discussed are their decision to use 3D characters, the complexity of the non-linear gameplay, the difference between old and new adventure games and the importance of Al Emmo's success.

Al Emmo, a 42y.o. single man, travels all the way to Anozira by train, to meet his mail-order bride, Ivanna Lottakash. But when she finds out that Al is not a wealthy man, she is leaving him alone in a saloon. As if this wasn't bad enough, Al also misses his train and there is no other train passing by for at least a week. We got to play a preview version of Al Emmo. The Exchange Student is an interactive sitcom for the PCs and Macintosh. The game is being developed by Pan Metron Ariston for the casual games market. The team behind The Exchange Student will be writing a series of articles talking about the development process. In the first entry of this article series, Dimitris Manos, the project director of The Exchange Student, is talking about the events that had to take place until the development team reached its present form.
